A little about the blogger
Name: Brittany
Age: 25
I have a husband and am a dog mom. I am currently a stay at home wife for the time being. This has given me the amazing opportunity to crochet and bake more!
How long have I done crocheting?
One of my best friends (a leftie!) taught me to crochet in early 2017, and I have been obsessed since.
What is my crochet style?
I really like to make colorful projects, but I also enjoy simple, neutral colors. Since I started coming up with my own designs, I have been sticking with the formula: simple with a little twist.
Why charge for patterns?
The reason I charge for downloadable patterns on Ravelry and Etsy is because writing patterns takes time, frustration, and supplies to make! They will always be free on my blog for anyone to use. Many people think that just because crocheting is a hobby, or because a pattern isn't super detailed, perfect, and complex, that everyone should just give them away for free... I'm not so sure I believe that. Granted, I do give them away for free by making a blog post, and I don't force anyone to buy my patterns. It is simply an option. I believe that designers should charge because they spend a lot of time on their talents. Plus, yarn costs money, and it takes yarn to test out these patterns, so please be respectful that people charge. We live in the kinda world where time is money.
What are my favorite materials?
I have always been a fan of the following products (contains affiliate links):
Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick
Red Heart Super Saver Stripes
Uploading Schedule
All new posts and/or patterns will be uploaded on Tuesdays (hence the name Crafty Tuesday) to the blog and Ravelry. If i choose to put the pattern on Etsy, they will not be uploaded until the Friday following that Tuesday.
