Reading Crochet Patterns in... (#2) Dutch

There are a ton of Dutch crochet and knitting patterns all over the internet, and it's another one of my absolute favorite languages, so I thought that I would share some terms in this beautiful language with you!

  • 2 stokjes samen gehaakt - double crochet 2 together
  • haak - work/crochet
  • knip het garen af - cut yarn
  • wissel van kleur - change color
  • telpatroon - diagram
  • begin - begin
  • tussen - between
  • netwerk - cluster
  • doorgaan - to continue
  • stekenverhouding - gauge
  • lus/lusje/stekenboog - loop
  • magische ring - magic ring
  • picot - picot
  • goede kant - right side
  • afstand - space
  • verkeerde kant - wrong side
